How to take payments with Stripe Terminal

Viewcy offers the capability to accept in-person payments through Stripe Terminal for efficient Point-of-Sale (POS) transactions. Setting up Stripe Terminal with Viewcy is a breeze - just follow these simple steps and you'll be up and running in no time! It's never been easier to expand your business and offer more payment options to your customers. To configure Stripe Terminal with Viewcy, please follow these instructions:

  1. To link your Stripe account to your Viewcy account, go to Profile Menu > Content Manager
  1. Click on 'Settings' > 'Event Payments' and ensure that your Stripe account is connected.
  • Order and purchase your Terminal from Stripe:

    • In order to use a Stripe Terminal to sell your tickets and add-ons, you must first purchase a Terminal from Stripe.
    • Login to your Stripe account by going to your Stripe dashboard.
    • Order a BBPOS Wise POS E Terminal from Stripe by visiting https://dashboard.stripe.com/terminal/shop.

      Set up your Terminal in your Viewcy profile settings

a. On the Event Settings Page, Click on “+ Add a new card reader”

  • b. Enter a new name if you wish to change it from the default “Viewcy card reader”

    c. Enter the registration code from your Terminal


How to find your registration code on your Terminal

      • Turn your Terminal on, and you'll be invited into the onboarding setup.
      • You'll need to connect to WiFi (the same WiFi connection you'll use Viewcy with).
      • You'll then be shown your connection code.
        • Note: If the Terminal has been linked to a Stripe account before, swipe the screen from the bottom left to open your Terminal settings. You may need to enter an 'admin pin' 07139 to see this page. You should be able to find a registration code from the ‘Generate pairing code’ page.
      • Enter this code into the Registration code field.

        d. Select the location that your card reader will be used to take payments, or enter a new location if none currently exists.

    • To select or add the location where your card reader will be used:
      • Click 'Add a new Location' to display a popup form.
      • Enter all required fields.
      • Click 'Submit' to save the location.

e. Click ‘Save’ to save the card reader details
